Meet Craig Myers – Referee Coordinator

Craig brings more than 25 years of football experience to Teviot Downs Soccer Club, having been involved in the game as a player, coach, club president and Football Queensland referee. Originally from Sydney and after spending 20 years in Mackay, Craig is passionate about giving back to the game that has given him so much.

Away from football, Craig spent more than a decade with the Queensland Police Service before moving into the Australian Government, bringing strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills to our referee program.

As our Referee Coordinator, Craig’s vision is simple, to create a club where referees are respected, supported and encouraged to enjoy the game. He is passionate about developing our young referees, helping them build confidence, make good decisions and feel comfortable every time they step onto the field.

At Teviot Downs, we believe referees are part of our team. Through regular mentoring, practical training and ongoing support, we’re committed to creating a positive, abuse-free environment where referees can learn, grow and thrive.
